E-ticketing system to be unveiled on April: Mohamed Fadl

CAIRO, 15 March 2019: 2019 AFCON director, Mohamed Fadl, assured that ticketing program will be revealed after the AFCON draw.

Egypt won the rights to host the tournament after being selected over South Africa.

The 2019 African Cup of Nations was initially scheduled to be hosted by Cameroon. However, Cameroon was stripped of hosting the tournament for serious delays in preparations.

"The e-ticketing system will be unveiled on April 1," Fadl said on ON Sport.

Youth and Sports min. Ashraf Sobhy revealed previously that the 2019 African Cup of Nations, which starts on June 21, tickets will be presented electronically.

"The ticketing process for 52 matches will be in accordance with different regulations that will be determined after the draw and will be announced on April 20." Fadl continued.

Egypt is the most successful nation in the history of the competition as Egypt has won a record of seven titles including three in a row between 2006 and 2010.

Egypt hosted four African Cup of Nations tournaments in 1959, 1974, 1986 and 2006 and they failed to achieve the title only in 1974.
