15K fans to support Al-Ahly against JS Saoura

CAIRO – 12 March 2019: A total of 15,000 fans will support Al-Ahly against Algeria’s JS Saoura at the last round of CAF Champions League group stage , announced Mohamed Morgan, Executive Director of Al Ahly SC on Tuesday.

Al-Ahly needs to achieve victory over the Algerian team on Saturday to secure qualification to the quarter finals.

Al-Ahly shares the second position at the group with Congo’s Vita Club with seven points each and they are one point behind the Algerian team who leads the group table while Tanzanian club, Simba, stays at the bottom of the group with six points.

Al-Ahly’s goalkeeper, Mohamed El-Shenawy, will be included at the team squad for the game after he recovered from the injury that he picked during Al-Ahly’s 1-0 loss to Vita Club according to Al Ahly director of football, Sayed AbdelHafiz.


Al-Ahly failed to achieve their ninth title at the competition as they lost the last two Champions League Finals to Wydad Casablanca and Esperence, respectively.
