CAIRO – 26 February 2019: Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, revealed on Tuesday that the team Brazilian striker, Roberto Firmino, could be fit for the clash against Watford on Wednesday night at the Premier League.
“He looks good; we were obviously lucky. It is not as serious as we thought in the first moment, if Roberto goes down and leaves the pitch it is always a bad sign because he’s a pretty hard boy.” Klopp said on Tuesday.
Firmino suffered an injury during the team’s goalless draw against Manchester United on Sunday and had to leave the pitch after 31 minutes.
Klopp added “He has a chance to play against Watford, but I don’t know if I would use that chance because we played Sunday and then Wednesday immediately.”
Liverpool players need to gain the three points on Wednesday’s game to keep their lead at the League title race.
Liverpool are leading the Premier League table with 66 points, one point ahead of the defending champions, Manchester City.
