Pyramids FC announces ownership transfer to Emirati investor

CAIRO, 22 February 2019: Egyptian club, Pyramids FC, announced the transfer of ownership from Turki Al-Sheikh, head of the Saudi entertainment authority to the Emirati investor Salem Saeed Al Shamsi.



Turki Al-Sheikh, Minister of the Saudi Entertainment Authority and owner of Pyramids Egypt Club, saluted all those who dealt with them during his stay in Egypt.

Al-Sheikh saluted some figures from the Egyptian football community including: Zamalek president, Mortada Mansour, and his sons, Hossam Al-Badri, president of Pyramids, Ahmed Hassan, former Egypt's captain, Hossam Hassan and Ibrahim Hassan, former coaches of Pyramids FC, Hadi Khashba, Mohamed Al-Assi, Khaled Al-Ghandour, , Ahmad Afifi, spokesman for Pyramids, Media Ibrahim Fayek, Reza Abdel-Al, football analyst Medhat Shalabi, Hani Abu Reda, president of the Egyptian Football Association, and Mohamed Kamel, Chairman Presentation Sports company.

In June, Al-Assiouty Sports Club was officially sold to a Saudi investor who changed its name to Pyramids FC. Many reports claimed that Turki Al-Sheikh, head of Saudi Arabia's General Sports Authority, is the owner of Pyramids FC.

Pyramids FC made numerous signings going into the new season, as they earlier confirmed the signing of Zamalek midfielder Ahmed Tawfik, Brazilian duo Marcos da Silva Franca and Lucas Ribamar, alongside Arab Contractors’ Mohamed Farouk, Abdallah el-Said and Keno.
