CAIRO – 19 February 2019: Liverpool hosts German giants, Bayern Munich, on Tuesday night at UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg.

Liverpool fans are expected to pack their stadium, Anfield, to support their players who reached the Champions League Final last year and lost 3-1 to Real Madrid.

Liverpool will miss their Dutch defender, Virgil Van Dijk, who is suspended after picking three yellow cards at the group stage.

“Bayern Munich are a team I know more about than most of the opposition we face in international competition.” Liverpool German manager, Jurgen Klopp, wrote in his column for the official match day program.

Klopp experienced facing Bayern Munich at the domestic competitions in Germany and he lost 2013 UEFA Champions League Final against them when he was Borussia Dortmund manager.

Klopp added “The team we focus on more than any other is always us and what we can do and achieve with hard work and focus."

Klopp will count on is amazing attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane to break the German defense and achieve a comfortable victory ahead of the second leg.
