CAIRO –23 January 2019: Egypt's handball team achieved an important victory over Tunisia 30-23 after a strong performance in the final Group stage of the Handball World Cup which takes place in Germany and Denmark.
Egypt's players shined in the first half to end it with a five-goals gap. Before deciding everything in the second half to extend the gap to seven goals.
Khaled Yahya won the Man of The Match award after the game.
Egypt raised its record of points to three; the pharaohs are waiting for the last game between Norway and Hungary to know their place.
If Norway defeated Hungary with +6 goals; Egypt will be in the fourth place and will play against the fourth from the other group to decide the seventh place.
The seventh place is important as it qualifies to the qualification stage of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
