CAIRO – 18 December 2018: The Arab Club Championship quarter finals draw put Al-Ittihad Alexandria against Saudi Arabian giants, Al Hilal. The first leg will be played in Riyadh and Alexandria will host the second leg.

The quarter final games are expected to be played after the end of the Asian Cup hosted by the UAE from January 5 until the end of the month.

The winner will face the winner between Saudi Arabian club, Al-Ahli, and Emirati Club, Al-Wasl.

Al-Ittihad Alexandria became the only Egyptian team at the tournament after Al-Ahly, Zamalek and Ismaily were knocked out of the competition from round of 16.

Al-Ittihad has had an amazing run at the tournament and they knocked out CAF Champions League winners, Espérance, at round of 32 before knocking out Egyptian League leaders, Zamalek at the second round.

The draw resulted in two tough clashes as Raja Casablanca from Morocco will face Etoile Du Sahel from Tunisia, while Sudan’s Al-Merrikh will face Algerian club, Mouloudia.

The champion will win $6 million, while the runners-up will win $2.5 million.
