Mohamed Salah featured in World’s Most Famous Athletes list

CAIRO – 31 May 2017: International footballer Mohamed Salah has been recently featured in the U.S.-based global sports television channel ESPN’s World's 100 Most Famous Athletes list.

ESPN published its annual list of the most famous athletes in the world on Tuesday, basing its results on social media popularity and Google searches.

Salah placed 100th on the ESPN’s world rankings. The 24-year-old Egyptian winger set a record for scoring and assisting with his current team A.S. Roma, at a total of 13 goals and 10 assists throughout the current season.

Real Madrid footballer Christiano Ronaldo topped the list of most famous athletes, while the Argentine striker Lionel Messi ranked fifth.
From the tennis world, Swiss Roger Federer ranked fourth, while Spaniard Rafael Nadal sits ninth.
