File- Egypt host Nigeria at the semi-finals
CAIRO - 11 December 2018: Nigeria secured their spot at the 2018 Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations (BSAFCON) semi-finals as the runners-up of Group B and they will face Group A leaders, Egypt, on Wednesday afternoon at the semi-finals.
Nigeria gained six points from two victories over Tanzania and Libya and their only loss came against Senegal at the group opening by penalty-shootouts.
On the other hand, Egypt have achieved three victories over Morocco, Madagascar and Ivory Coast to reach the second round as group leaders with 9 points.
The third African Beach Soccer Cup of Nations kicked off on Saturday, Dec.8 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
Egypt participated at the last two editions and their best result came in 2016 when they achieved the third position.
Egypt hosts the championship at a stadium designed especially for this tournament from Saturday, December 8 to Friday, December 14.
The winner and the runners-up will represent Africa at 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Paraguay.
