CAIRO – 2 December 2018: The Egyptian officials will allow 10,000 fans to support Al-Masry at the CAF Confederation Cup's opening game on December 15.
Al-Masry qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup after achieving the third place at the league last season and they will represent the nation at the competition alongside 2017–18 Egypt's Cup winners, Zamalek.
Al-Masry will face the winner between Guinea’s Wakriya AC and Burkina Faso’s Salimata et Taséré FC; the first leg in Burkina Faso ended with a 2-0 victory for the hosts.
On the other hand, Zamalek will face the winner between Chad’s AS Coton and Togo’s Gomido.
Al-Masry had an amazing run at the competition last season and they reached the semi finals under their former manager, Hossam Hassan, but they lost to Congo’s Vita Club 4-0.
In the same context, Burundi’s Le Messager FC de Ngozi delegation is set to arrive in Ismailia on Sunday night to face Ismaily at the CAF Champions League Preliminary round's second leg.
