CAIRO – 24 October 2018: Al-Ahly qualified to the CAF Champions League final for the second year in a row despite their 2-1 loss to ES Setif on Tuesday night in Algeria at the semi-finals' second leg.

Al-Ahly entered the game with two goals as they defeated the Algerian team 2-0 in Cairo at the first leg.

ES Setif players were hoping to achieve a historic comeback over Al-Ahly and counted on their enthusiastic fans’ support, but Al-Ahly's experienced players helped the team to handle the pressure and reach the final.
Walid Soliman opened the score for Al-Ahly after 60 minutes but the Algerian team did not take so long to respond as they scored two goals five minutes later.

ES Setif needed two goals at the last 20 minutes to qualify to the final but Al-Ahly's defense stopped all their attempts to score.

Al-Ahly, who won a record of eight CAF Champions League titles, reached the final for the 12th time in their history and they will face Tunisian giants, Esperence, who defeated Angola’s C.D. Primeiro de Agosto 4-2 earlier on Tuesday.
