CAIRO – 23 October 2018: Al Masry’s football director Ibrahim Hassan revealed on Monday that he has much respect for Veta Club team, but trusts his team’s ability to defeat them when they face each other at CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals’ second leg on Wednesday.
“They have a very good squad with many talented players. They also have good players on the bench who can make difference at the game when they play,” Hassan told ON Sport on Monday.
Al-Masry has a historic chance to reach an African competition final for the first time in their history when they face Veta Club in Congo.
The first leg in Port Said ended with a goalless draw after a fine display from both teams, who created many chances but failed to score.
Hassan added, “The first leg draw made our mission harder, but we achieved an away victory in Algeria at the quarter finals and we can do it again in Congo.”
Al-Masry defeated USM Alger at the quarter finals of both games, with the same result of 1-0.
Hassan continued, “We came here to win and we will do everything we can to achieve our dream to reach the final.”
The game is scheduled to take place on Wednesday at 6:00 P.M.
