CAIRO – 22 October 2018: Al-Ahly Malian defender, Salif Coulibaly, revealed on Monday that the team is ready to fight in Algeria and reach the final when they face ES Setif at the CAF Champions League semi-finals second leg on Tuesday night.
“I always prefer to play the second leg at home but we played a good game at the first leg and won 2-0 which gives us an advantage before the battle in Setif,” Coulibaly told press on Monday.
Al-Ahly defeated ES Setif 2-0 at the first leg in Cairo thanks to two goals from Walid Soliman and Eslam Mohareb.
“We came here with high spirits and we will do everything we can to reach the final and make our fans happy,” the Malian added.
Coulibaly joined Al-Ahly last July and since then he established himself as a key player at Al-Ahly squad.
The defender played a great role in Al-Ahly’s run at the CAF Champions League and he scored two goals at the group stage against Township Rollers and Kampala City.
Al-Ahly fans put all their hopes on their players to reach the final and achieve the title after they lost last year’s final to Wydad Casablanca.
