CAIRO – 14 August 2018: Al-Ahly President, Mahmoud el-Khatib, is set to head Al-Ahly delegation in their journey to Tunisia to face their giants, Espérance, in Stade Olympique de Radès on Friday at the CAF Champions League.

Al-Ahly manager, Patrica Carteron, will announce the team squad after their last training session in Cairo on Tuesday night and the delegation will travel to Tunisia on Wednesday night.

Al-Ahly needs to achieve victory to secure their qualification to the quarter finals. Tunisia secured their spot from the last round.

Espérance leads the group table with 10 points, three points ahead of second placed, Al-Ahly, and seven points ahead of Township Rollers and Kampala City who share the bottom.

Al-Ahly won a record of eight CAF Champions League titles and they hope to achieve their ninth title and their first since 2013.

Al-Ahly captain, Hossam Ashour, will miss the game for suspension and Carteron hopes that Amr el-Solya will be fully recovered and ready for the game.
