CAIRO – 03 August 2018: Pyramids FC appears for the first time in the Egyptian League with their new shape when they face Enppi in the first round at 09:00 p.m. (CLT).
Pyramids FC, previously known by Al-Assiouty Sport, look to send a message at, Petrosport stadium, to everyone in the Egyptian league that they are a real contender this season.
Al-Assiouty Sport club was officially sold to a Saudi investor who changed its name to Pyramdis FC. Many reports claim that Turki Al al-Sheikh, head of Saudi Arabia's General Sports Authority, is the owner of Pyramids FC.
Pyramids FC signed 19 new players this season and the list came as follows:
Four Brazilian players: Rodriguinho from Corinthians, Keno from Palmeiras, Carlos Eduardo from Goias, Lucas Ribamar from Atletico Parananense.
13 Egyptian players: Ahmed El-Shenawy, Aly Gabr and Ahmed Tawfik (Zamalek), Mohamed Magdy Afsha (Enppi), Mohamed Hamdy and Ahmed Ayman Mansour (Al-Masry), Mohamed Farouk and Abdel Aziz El Shaer (Al Mokawlon), Al-Mahdy Soliman, Ragab Bakar and Abdullah Bakry (Smouha), Omar Gaber (US Los Angeles), Nasser Mansy (Al Dakhleya).
Two Arab players: Syria’s Omar El Meydani (Emirati Hatta), Palestine’s Danny Shahin (Netherlands’ Ruda).
8 players remain with the club: Ahmed Daodour, Ahmed Afify, Islam Siyam, Sherif Dabo, Mohamed Rizq, Hamada Tolba, Mohanad Lashin and Nabil Dunga.
