CAIRO – 03 August 2018: Juventus announced on Thursday the returning of the Italian defender, Leonardo Bonucci, in a swap deal with AC Milan by the young defender Mattia Caldara. Also, the Argentinean striker, Gonzalo Higuain, joined the ‘rossoneri’ in a one-year loan deal.

AC Milan paid €16 million to Juventus for Higuain and they can fully buy him next year by paying another €36 million.

Bonucci and Caldara signed long contracts with their clubs until 2023.

Bonucci started playing for Juventus in 2010 where he won the Scudetto (Serie A title) for six times, Coppa d’italia for three times, Italian Super cup for three times, and helped the ‘bianconeri’ to reach the UEFA Champions league final for two times. Last year, he joined AC Milan when he presented a transfer-request as he reportedly had some problems with Juventus’ manager, Allegri. This summer, he regretted the past summer move and asked for a return to Juventus to play alongside the new comer legend, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Higuain joined Juventus in 2016 summer coming from Napoli in a record €90 million deal. He played 105 matches with Juventus; scored 55 goals and provided 12 assists.
