Al-Ahly to face Krasnodar in their 2nd pre-season friendly on July 9

CAIRO – 8 July 2018: Al-Ahly started their pre-season preparatory camp, which was decided to take place in Croatia, on Monday July 2.

The Red Devils undertook their first friendly, prior to the 2018-2019 season, against NK Olimpja Ljubljana – the Slovenian league and cup champions. The game ended in a positive draw with one goal for each team.

The Slovenian team was awarded a penalty in the 50th minute, which they used to take the lead. In the second half, WalidSoliman managed to score the equalizer.

The second game will take place on MondayJuly 9, against FACE Krasnodar, who finished fourth in the Russian Premier league.

Al-Ahly are currently preparing for the upcoming Egyptian Premier League, which will kick-off on August 1, with their first game being against Ismaily.

On the other hand, preparations are also underway for the upcoming Champions League clash against Towniship Rollers FC, on July 17. The game is set to take place in Egypt at 9 p.m.

Al-Ahly has had a rough start to their CAF Champions League campaign, as they now sit at the bottom of the table with one point.
