CAIRO – 28 June 2018: Pyramids FC revealed their new signings and formation of the administrative and technical functions of the team this season in a press conference held on Thursday.
Al-Assiouty Sport club was officially sold to a Saudi investor who changed its name to Pyramdis FC. Many reports claim that Turki Al al-Sheikh, head of Saudi Arabia's General Sports Authority, is the owner of Pyramids FC.
The formation of the team saw the presence of former Egyptian football legends; it came as follows:
Former Al-Ahly’s coach, Hossam El-Badry – Chariman of the club
Former Al-Ahly, Zamalek, Anderlecht and most capped international footballer, Ahmed Hassan - spokesman and football team supervisor
Former Al-Ahly’s defender, Hady Khashaba – Football Director
Former Brazilian club, Botafago, coach - Alberto Valentim

Pyramids FC announced that it reached an agreement with both Brazilian players, Marcos da Silva França ‘Keno’ from Palmeiras and Biramar from Clube Atlético Paranaense.

“Al-Ahram is a sports service provider and a professional venue; they talk about how to use wealth in Egypt through young people and investors are keen to exploit Egypt's wealth for Egypt's own good," Badry said in an interview with MBC Masr channel.
Signing Brazilian players wasn’t enough for Turki’s club so he signed the Syrian defender, Omar El-Meydani, alongside the Egyptian players; Enppi’s Mohamed Magdy Afsha, Al-Masry’s Mohamed Hamdy, Smouha’s Abdullah El-Bakry and Al-Mokawlon’s Mohamed Farouk.
