CAIRO – 24 June 2018: Gehad Gresha, the only Egyptian referee in the World Cup, will arbitrate his first match on Sunday in the game between England and Panama, set to take place at 2 p.m. at Nizhny Novgorod Stadium.
Along his career, the 42-year-old referee has arbitrated around 160 matches, more than 110 of which were in the Egyptian Premier League; he also participated in five matches at the African Cup of Nations in three separate tournaments and took charge of five matches of the U-20 World Cup in 2015 and 2017 editions.
This will be the first time for Gresha to participate in the most important football tournament in the world.
