CAIRO – 12 June 2018: Egypt national team delegation is set to leave Chechnya Capital, Grozny, on Wednesday afternoon to Yekaterinburg, where they will play the World Cup opener against Uruguay on Friday.

The team will have a training session on Wednesday before the last training on Thursday at Central Stadium.

The delegation will return to Grozny after the game and they will stay there until their second game against the host nation, Russia, at Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg on Tuesday June 19.

On the other hand, the national team medical staff will decide Mohamed Salah’s situation from the World Cup opener against Uruguay on Wednesday.

Salah is still recovering from the shoulder injury he picked after a tangle with Sergio Ramos in the Champions League final against Real Madrid. He left the game after 30 minutes and watched Liverpool's 3 -1 loss from the dressing room.

The World Cup draw put Egypt in Group A alongside Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and the host nation, Russia.

Egypt will appear at the World Cup for the third time in history and the first time since 1990.
