I am sure we will win the Super Cup: Bassem Morsy

CAIRO – 17 May 2018: Zamalek’s striker, Bassem Morsy, expects his team to win the Egyptian Super Cup against Al-Ahly.

Zamalek won Egypt’s Cup after defeating Smouha 5-4 in the penalty shootout as both teams ended the full time with a 1-1 draw.

“We expected winning the cup; even if we faced Al-Ahly in Egypt’s Cup final, we would win,” Morsy told DMC sports.

“I am sure we will win the Super Cup. I like playing against Al-Ahly; I will do my best,” Morsy added.

Al-Ahly won the Egyptian league for 2017/2018 season six weeks before its end.
“If we keep this good performance, we will win the Egyptian league next season as well,” Morsy concluded.

Egyptian Football Federation sponsor, Presentation, has had many offers to host the Egyptian Super Cup this year, according to Presentation CEO, Mohamed Kamel.

The last three Egyptian Super Cup games were played in UAE. Al-Ahly defeated Zamalek 3-2 in the first one, while Zamalek won the second after defeating Al-Ahly in a penalty shootout.
