CAIRO – 14 May 2018: Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah received the Golden Boot award from Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish in a small celebration at Anfield Stadium on Sunday.
Salah won the award after scoring 32 goals in his debut season with Liverpool in the Premier League, and he set a new record for the most goals in a 38-game campaign, surpassing the 31-goal record of Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez.
Salah’s wife and his daughter, Macca, accompanied him during the celebration, and his daughter stole the show when she displayed her football skills in front of Liverpool fans.
The Egyptian winger, who was highly cheered by the fans during the season, was booed when he took the ball from his daughter, so he returned the ball to her.
Salah took photos with his family and the Golden Boot, and he embarked on a lap of appreciation with his teammates to applaud the fans after a great season.
Salah has had a stunning season with Liverpool, scoring 44 goals in all competitions and leading his team to the Champions League final for the first time since 2007.
