Will Aguero return to Atletico Madrid?

CAIRO – 11 May 2018: Manchester City’s Sergio "Kun" Agüero could return to be a player at the Rojiblanco. Atletico Madrid, seeking to find substitute for the possible departure of Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona, has contacted the Argentinean striker’s agent to negotiate a possible return for next season, according to Radio Marca.

Although Agüero still has a contract with Manchester City until 2020, his role with Guardiola has been decreasing and he currently is not the main attacker. In fact, in the last matches, he barely played minutes, and the player is increasingly dissatisfied with his situation in the club.

In addition, they assure that the player would welcome a return to Atletico Madrid, but for the moment there has been no direct conversation, since he wants to focus completely on the World Cup in Russia.

The return of Agüero to Atletico Madrid is an option that probably seemed impossible a few months ago, but the likely departure of Griezmann, the dissatisfaction of the Argentinean at City, and Atletico’s sports project, which meets his expectations, could lead him to change his opinion.
