Zidane rests Ramos, Ronaldo in Leganes match

CAIRO – 28 April 2018: Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane has settled on the 18 players who are supposed to face Leganes in the 35th round of La Liga, scheduled for 6:15 p.m. (CLT) at Santiago Bernabeu.

Zidane chose to rest his top players from the Spanish League game to make sure that they will play in top form in the second-leg match of the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich, scheduled for next Tuesday at Bernabeu. It is worth mentioning that Real Madrid managed to steal a 2-1 victory from Bayern in Germany at Alianz Arena on Wednesday.

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronald leads the list of the absentees, alongside with Sergio Ramos, Rafael Varane and Nacho, while Dani Carvajal is off the squad list due to injury.

Madrid occupies the third place of La Liga with 68 points, while Leganes is 15th with 40 points.
