Al-Ahly to face Alassiouty at Al-Salam Stadium

CAIRO – 28 April 2018: Al-Ahly received an official letter from the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) to assure that the team’s game against Alassiouty Sport will be held at Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo.

Al-Ahly is scheduled to face Alassiouty in the quarter-final of the Egyptian Cup on Monday evening, but the stadium of the game hadn’t been chosen until the EFA sent an official letter to both teams with the final decision.

Al-Ahly’s coaching staff, headed by Hossam el-Badry, gave the players a day to rest Friday after losing to Zamalek in the Cairo Derby Thursday night. The team will resume training Saturday afternoon at Al-Ahly Club’s Mokhtar El-Tetsh field in Cairo.

Zamalek won 2-1 over Al-Ahly in the Premier League Cairo Derby played at Cairo Stadium Thursday night.

This was the first victory for Zamalek against Al-Ahly in the Egyptian League since 2007.
