CAIRO – 22 April 2018: Finally, Salah crowned his memorable performance throughout the season by winning the most awaited individual title from Egyptian and Liverpool fans; he achieved the PFA Player of the Year award this season.
Salah, who is currently the Premier League top scorer by 31 goals, has reached his peak form this season with Liverpool.
International Egyptian player Mohamed Salah succeeded to be the second Arabic and African player to win the Premier League Player of the Year after Algerian Riyad Mahrez won it in the 2015/2016 season.
He also led Liverpool not only in the PL but also in the Champions League, playing a big role in defeating Manchester City at the quarter-finals.
Mohamed Salah, Egyptian National Team and Liverpool's forward, was included by the Professional Footballer’s Association in the Premier League's Team of the Year.
The Professional Footballer’s Association has announced the nominees for the Player of the Year award in England. The nominees list included six players:
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), David De Gea (Manchester United), David Silva, Leroy Sane and Kevin De Bruyne who all play for Manchester City.
The PFA Player of the Year award is voted for by the players from England's 92 professional clubs in the Premier League and Football League.
