CAIRO – 20 April 2018: Former Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba, showed a moment of class when he praised Liverpool’s star Mohamed Salah, who surpassed the Ivorian player to become the African player with the most goals scored in the Premier League.
Drogba posted a picture with Salah on Twitter praising the Egyptian forward.
Salah scored his 30th goal against Bournemouth in the Premier League last week to be the first African player in history to score 30 goals in a single Premier League season. Drogba’s record was 29 goals with Chelsea.
The Egyptian star scored 40 goals this season and provided 13 assists in 45 games in all the competitions.
Liverpool is set to meet West Bromwich Albion on Saturday in the 35th round of the Premier League before hosting AS Roma in the first leg of UEFA Champions League semi-final at Anfield
