Ramadan Sobhy with Egyptian National team – Egypt Today
CAIRO – 19 April 2018: Al-Ahly’s coach Hossam El-Badry revealed that he contacted former Al-Ahly and current Stoke City midfielder, Ramadan Sobhy, asking him to re-join the Red Devils again.
El-Badry announced the news on Sada El-Balad channel on Wednesday in the 40th league title celebrations.
“I contacted Ramadan and he wants to come back but he will wait for Stoke’s situation in the Premier League,” El-Badry said. Ramadan awaits to know whether Stoke City will relegate to the lower division or not, and in the case they do, he will return to Al-Ahly.
Stoke City places in the 18th place with 28 points from 34 games played this season.
“Sobhy is very talented; he can succeed anywhere but Stoke’s bad results and changing of head coaches affected him a lot this season,” El-Badry added.
“I like Sobhy despite him being a troublemaker [laughing]. He will be very useful for us,” El-Badry concluded.
On the other hand, El-Badry pointed that he contacted the Egyptian national team’s coaching staff asking them to give Al-Ahly’s midfielder Amr El-Soleya a chance in the next national team camp.
Egypt suffers from a lack of midfielders since they only had three players join the last camp; Mohamed Elneny, Tarek Hamed and Hossam Ashour.
