CAIRO -19 April 2018: Paris Saint Germain's Brazilian winger, Neymar Jr Da Silva, revealed on Wednesday that he will be fit to participate with the Brazilian national team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
“I will get my final exam, if I'm not mistaken, on May 17 and then I'll be free to play,” Neymar told press on Wednesday.
The Brazilian suffered an injury during the French Classico in the game against Marseille on February 25; this injury ruled him out of the rest of the season with his Parisian club.
“I had an exam last week, it is all perfect, evolving well, so I hope that continues so I can get back as soon as possible,” added Neymar.
The World Cup starts on June 14 and the draw put Brazil in Group E alongside Switzerland, Costa Rica and Serbia.
Neymar and his teammates hope to reconcile their fans after they were humiliated at the 2014 World Cup semi-finals when they lost at home 7-1 to Germany. Neymar missed this game after picking a serious injury at the quarter finals in the game against Colombia.
Neymar said, “I am going to work harder than I ever worked because this is a dream that's coming up, it's a World Cup. I've waited four years for this chance; I hope to get there in great shape."
