CAIRO – 15 April 2018: Egyptian professional player Amr Warda received two awards in the Greece Super League this month.
The first award was for best player of the month, “MVP”, after his great performances so far this season. He scored 11 goals and five assists in 25 games in the league. His second award was for the Goal of the Round after he scored against AEK Athens.
Warda expressed his happiness and relief after winning these awards, saying: “I wanted to score in this match, because of what I have experienced a few days ago,” King Fut website reported.
“Good luck Warda and keep up the good work,” Eslam Al Shater, former Al Ahly player and an anchor on CBC Extra News channel commented on Twitter.
Warda plays for Greek club Atromitos on loan from PAOK FC. He also participated in qualifying the Egyptian national team for the 2018 World Cup.
“I really love Atromitos. It has helped me a lot this year to achieve what I have achieved so far. Wherever I continue my career, I will always have them in my heart, I will support them.”
The 24-year-old player has only four games left until the end of the season then he’ll be joining the national team for the World Cup. He hopes to score more goals before the season ends.
