CAIRO – 14 April 2018: Arsène Wenger’s employment as the head coach of Arsenal remains conditional. This is confirmed by The Telegraph which mentioned that the French coach is still going to lead the Gunners at the Emirates stadium next season.
According to the latest intel, Wenger has a chance to prolong his sports project if Arsenal is finally able to lift the UEFA Europa League’s title.
Since they excluded Tuchel as a possible replacement for Wenger for the time being, Arsenal will not need to consider the possible changes that Tuchel’s decisions as head coach would have incurred.
Arsenal’s striker Alexandre Lacazette believes that winning the Europa League’s title would secure Wenger’s future in Arsenal for another year.
“It can be the way to keep the manager because he did so much good for the club,” he said before the draw had been made. “It will save our season because in the Premier League we are not doing well.”
But nothing is decided yet; the owners are waiting to evaluate the final outcome of another mediocre season for the Gunners.
The new executives of the Emirates sports area, headed by Raül Sanllehí, would have moved several market options to relieve Wenger, including the name of Luis Enrique, having only needed the owners of Arsenal to adopt a final decision.
The Telegraph argues that, once again, Arsène Wenger still has one last match ball to avoid dismissal at the end of this season.
