CAIRO – 12 April 2018: Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, revealed on Thursday that his team seek to achieve the Europa League title and save their season.

“The Europa League is one of the big targets of the season. It is important for us; everybody knows that,” Wenger told press on Thursday.

Arsenal had a poor run this season in all domestic competitions. They lost the Carabao Cup final to Manchester City and they got eliminated from the FA Cup first round after losing to the second division team, Nottingham Forest.

Wenger added, “We know it's an important target for us to go as far as possible.”

At the Premier League, Arsenal are in the sixth place and they are 13 points behind the UEFA Champions League qualifying position.

The French manager spoke about the team’s situation at the League, saying “In the Premier League we have a very, very, very slim chance to get further up.”

The Europa League title winner earns a direct qualification to the UEFA Champions League next season which is an added value for Arsenal besides achieving the title.
