CAIRO – 11 April 2018: Arsenal’s Gabonese striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, believes that he can share Arsenal’s attacking line with the team’s French striker, Alexandre Lacazette.

“I hope we will have the opportunity to play together; it's something I said when I first arrived, that I hoped to play with him. We have different styles, but I think they're styles that complement each other,” Aubameyang told Sky Sports on Tuesday.

Aubameyang joined Arsenal in January from Borussia Dortmund and became the team’s starting striker, as Lacazette was injured.

Both players previously faced each other in the French League, as Lacazette played for Lyon while Aubameyang was playing for their local rivals, Saint Eteinne.

“We were once rivals in our days in France, but we're now friends, and I hope we can play well together and score lots of goals," added Aubameyang.

The Gabonese player spoke about the team’s recent victories in the league, saying, “We're playing better in these last games and I hope the people can see this."

Since their 2-1 loss to Brighton on March 4, Arsenal has achieved five consecutive victories. They defeated Watford, Stoke City and Southampton in the Premier League, and they also defeated AC Milan and CSKA Moscow in the Europa League competition.
