CAIRO – 11 April 2018: Despite Bayern Munich’s 2-1 victory over Sevilla at the UEFA Champions League quarter finals first leg in Spain, Bayern German manager, Jupp Heynckes, believes that they will have a tough mission to reach the semi-finals.
“I think Sevilla are not only a good team but they will also attack us tomorrow and play high. For one reason, they have to search for something to score goals in our stadium,” Heynckes told press on Tuesday.
Sevilla opened the score at the first leg by Pablo Sarabia's goal but Bayern Munich returned in the game with two goals to win the match.
Heynckes added, “They're a team that plays with a lot of impetus and good pressure, but we know what we have to do."
Sevilla had an amazing run at the UEFA Champions League this season and they eliminated the three time champions, Manchester United, at round of 16.
The German manager praised Sevilla's Argentinean midfielder, Ever Banega, saying “Banega is a great player. He is an international (player) for Argentina and he is the heart of Sevilla, he's always decisive but we are well prepared.”
Sevilla hope to surprise Bayern Munich in front of their fans and reach the semi-finals for the first time in their history.
