CAIRO – 1 April 2018: Ajax player Justin Kluivert appeared in an interview with the website Goal after winning the NxGn 2018 award for best young player of the year, beating Vinicius Junior, who will be joining Real Madrid next summer; Brahim Diaz and Phil Foden from Manchester City; Matthijs de Ligt, his teammate at Ajax; and others.

The Ajax footballer, who at the age of 18 has already debuted with the Netherlands national team, has become one of the great pearls of football after dazzling in his beginnings in the Eredivise.

As explained by Justin, son of former football player Patrick Kluivert, who played for six consecutive seasons at Barcelona, he knows he wants to follow in his father's footsteps.

“My dream club? Barcelona. That is my dream club,” he told Goal when presented with the NxGn award.

“To follow in my father’s footsteps? Yes. That is my dream club in the end. I would not mind going elsewhere, but Barcelona is the dream,” he added.

The Ajax player also has great goals for his next years. "My ultimate goal is to win the Golden Ball; it's what I want and I'm going to work hard to get there, but I'm still only 18 and have a lot to improve," he said.

Starting regularly from the left wing, the winger has already played 30 games this year with the first team of Ajax, a club which is a true specialist in getting the best out of their players, and he has scored eight goals in addition to making four assists.
