CAIRO – 4 May 2017: African Football Association heads will be allowed to enter Egypt without obtaining a visa before arrival per approval by the Foreign Ministry Thursday.
The move comes in an attempt to ease the registration process for African officials who are expected to participate in sports-related events in Egypt.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs approved Thursday to permit the African Confederation heads to enter Egypt without a visa-free, in an effort to ease the registration processes for the African CAF’s officials who are expected to participate in the sports-related events takingen place in Egypt.
In response to Egyptian Ffootball Association (EFA)'s Cchief Hany Abou Rida’s request, Foreign Ministry of Foreign officials decided not to stick to the "pPrinciple of reciprocity" in dealing with the African officials coming to Egypt.
Sources at Cairo International's Airport confirmed that such the decision came after some of the Egyptian Football AassociationEFAs heads were repeatedly stopped at some of the African countries' airports for some time for not having their respective visas. the requisite visas.
The decision comes within the framework of the participation of the African head in the Arab Club champions league draw Friday, with the attendance of the new CAF's new president Ahmed Ahmed.
Additionally, a scheduled coordination meeting will be held on the FIFA's sSeats elections, which will take place in Manama next week.
