CAIRO – 30 March 2018: Crystal Palace’s manager Roy Hodgson believes that the only way to stop Liverpool’s Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah is through teamwork.

“The only way you can stop top quality players is through the collective work that your team is able to do,” Hodgson told the press on Thursday.

Crystal Palace, who suffers in the Premier League this season, is set to host Liverpool on Saturday afternoon at the Premier League.

Hodgson showed his admiration to the Egyptian winger, saying, “I’ve never worked with him so can only talk from having watched him. He must be delighted to be performing in that top bracket of players. He’s certainly showing that this season.”

Salah has had an amazing season with Liverpool. He scored 36 goals with the club in all competitions, including 28 goals in the Premier League to be its top goal-scorer.

Hodgson spoke about Palace’s winger Wilfried Zaha’s participation against Liverpool, saying, “Zaha hasn’t been training to any great extent as we’re nursing his knee; we’ve had to be cautious after he played against Huddersfield Town, as he came back much earlier than expected from injury.”

Palace are placing 16th in the League table with 30 points; they are only two points away from the relegation area.
