CAIRO – 30 March 2018: Boca Junior’s striker Carlos Tevez is set to be out of the match against Talleres de Córdoba this Sunday as he suffers a calf injury.

This injury enraged Boca Juniors’ officials after they figured out that the player got his injury in Bouwer's maximum-security prison in Cordoba. Tevez, who lied about how he suffered the injury, participated in a game along with the prisoners while visiting his brother in jail, according to Fox Sports Argentina.

Tevez’s brother, Juan Alberto Martínez, has been in jail since 2010, serving 16 years in prison for armed robbery.

This injury could rule the Argentinean striker out for a month or four games.

Tevez rejoined his boyhood club from China last January where he made 11 appearances and netted three goals.

The 34-years-old is a legend at the Buenos Aires based club, having returned to Boca after a long successful journey in Europe and China.

But his last days in China weren’t good; he lived 10 complicated months at Shanghai Shenhua, a Chinese club. Fans called Tevez a “nostalgic guy” because of his return to Argentina every few days.

Tevez was one of the highest paid players in the world, earning €730,000 ($851,326) a week.
