Zamalek, Ismaili Premier League poor matchupended in goalless draw

CAIRO – 4 May 2017: Zamalek and Ismaili's Premier League clash Wednesday ended in a goalless draw in a poor quality game played at Cairo International Stadium, where both failed to assert themselves as possible competitors in the championship.

With this draw, Zamalek dropped two points to remain in the Premier League's third spot with 48 points, 16 points clear of second-placed Misr al-Makasa, while Ismaili sits seventh with 37 points.

Zamalek has an African tough game due May 12 against Zimbabwe's champions CAPS United in the CAF Club Champions' League Group B first round fixtures.

The result of the draw placed the White knights with USM Alger from Algeria, the Libyan Ahli Tripoli, and CAPS United from Zimbabwe.
