CAIRO – 20 March 2018 : Al-Ain announced on Tuesday that they have reached an agreement with Misr el-Makasa to buy their winger Hussein El-Shahat.
Shahat signed a three-year contract with Al-Ain after he shined with the Emirati club since joining them on a six-month loan in January.
“On the International Day of Happiness, we wanted to bring joy and happiness to Al-Ain fans by signing Shahat,” Al-Ain President Ghanem El Hagry said after signing the contract.
Since he joined the club, Shahat became one of the key players in the club, scoring seven goals in the league.
Shahat formed a massive attacking partnership with Marcus Berg and Omar Abdulrahman, known as Amouri.
Hagry added, “I want to thank Misr el-Makasa’s board for all their efforts to complete the deal.”
Shahat, who joined the national team camp in Switzerland, has been linked with a move to one of Egypt’s giants, Al-Ahly or Zamalek, but in the end he decided to continue his amazing journey with Al-Ain.
