Fathy renews contract with Al Ahly for 2 seasons

CAIRO – 12 March 2018: Sayed Abdel Hafez, Al Ahly football director, has announced the contact renewal of the team’s right back, Ahmed Fathy. The player has agreed to renew with Al Ahly for two seasons, amid rumors that the player might leave the club due to disagreements over the terms of the new contract.

Abdel Hafez stated in special remarks to Egypt Today that the session, held with the player on March 6, didn’t take a long time as the player showed great enthusiasm for staying at the club, adding that all the terms related to the new contract were accepted by Fathi who immediately signed the contract to assure his loyalty to the red club.

"Ahmed Fathy is one of the most important players of Al Ahly, and keeping him is among the team’s priorities," Abdel Hafez said. Al Ahly football director referred also that Hossam al-Badry, Al Ahly’s head coach, recommended that basic pillars of the team should be preserved to strengthen the team’s squad list for the upcoming period.

Al Ahly right back, signed a new contract worth LE 14 million with Al Ahly; he will get LE 7 million for each season.
