Al Ahly players celebrate victory over Uganda’s Nkumba – Al Ahly’s official website
CAIRO – 8 March 2018: Al Ahly faces Rwanda’s Revenue on Thursday night at Women's African Volleyball Clubs Championship at 8:00 p.m. at Abdulla Al Faysal halls.
Al Ahly players opened their participation at the competition defeating Uganda’s Nkumba 3-0 on Tuesday, while Revenue have achieved a 3-1 victory over Cameroon’s Nyong.
Al Ahly plays in Group A alongside Rwanda’s Revenue, Uganda’s Nkumba and Cameroon’s Nyong.
In Group C, Egypt’s El Shams face Cameroon’s FAP at their third game at the competition on 6:00 p.m.
El Shams opened their participation at the tournament with a 3-0 loss to Kenya’s Pipeline on Tuesday before achieving a 3-0 victory over Uganda’s Vision on Wednesday.
El Shams lost the 2017 Women's African Volleyball Clubs Championship title to CF de Carthage after 13-2 loss at the finals.
Al Ahly won a record eight titles and their players hope to achieve their ninth title in front of their fans.
Al Ahly host the tournament from March 6 to March 15.
