CAIRO – 2 March 2018: Bayern Munich’s central defender Mats Hummels and the Polish striker Robert Lewandowski had on Wednesday, according to several German media, a strong confrontation in the training ground of Bayern Munich due to a goal conceded by his team in a training-match.

Hummels lost the ball in the back-line but Lewandowski, instead of helping his team to defend, decided to tie his boot which disgusted the German defender.

"Lewy, that's not serious, in a moment like that you cannot tie your shoes, it's s***," Hummels told Lewandowski according to Bild newspaper.

Lewandowski responded and reminded Hummels that it was his problem as he had lost the ball which annoyed the German defender even more.

"Mine was a mistake, yours is an attitude problem," said Hummels to Lewandowski.
According to media reports on the confrontation, at the end of practice the two players stayed away from each other.

Lewandowski and Hummels know each other well as they were teammates for many years as they played in Borussia Dortmund, the first went to Munich - in 2014. Two years later, the Germany international defender moved to Bayern.

The problem with this clash, which is not a completely unusual thing in a football team's training, is its context.

According to Sky Sports, Robert Lewandowski has announced, recently, the departure of his agent and replaced him with a new one, Pini Zahavi, who would try to negotiate the departure of the Polish striker from Bayern this summer.

British BBC journalists also spoke of the Bayern Munich striker's desires a few days ago. Relying on news from the Independent, Chelsea and Real Madrid are eyeing up the top scorer of the Bundesliga for a transfer next summer.

According to several German and British media outlets, the fact of having changed agents during the season would be a sign sent by Lewandowski to the club’s officials in preparation for his departure this summer.
