CAIRO – 22 February 2018: Former Egyptian International, Ahmed Hossam, known as Mido, has been linked with coaching Paris Saint Germain U 19 team according to Kingfut.

“There are negotiations going on, it might happen very soon,” Mido told Kingfut on Wednesday.

Mido, 34, has experienced French football when he played at Paris Saint Germain’s rivals, Marseille, in 2004. He wore the club’s jersey at 34 games scoring nine goals according to transfermarkt.com.

“I have rejected an offer to manage a Saudi Arabian club to focus on my negotiations with PSG,” Mido told “Everyday Football” program.
Mido has spent more than 10 years playing in Europe. He represented many big clubs in Europe like Ajax Amsterdam, AS Roma, Tottenham Hotspurs, Celta Vigo and Marseille.

Mido has started coaching in Egypt after his retirement in 2013 and he managed Zamalek, Ismaily and Wadi Degla.

If the deal is sealed, Mido will be the second Egyptian manager to work in Europe after Hany Ramzy who managed Belgium’s Lierse in 2013.
