EBF organizes 3X3 Egypt’s International Championship

CAIRO – 21 February 2018: Egyptian Basketball Federation decided to organize the 3X3 Egypt’s International Championship to select the players who will represent Egypt in the upcoming season’s world championships.

The first stage of the championship will be held on March 2 and 3 at Smouha Sports Club in Alexandria, while the second stage will be held on 16 and 17 of the same month at Al Shams Club in Cairo. The third stage will be held on March 23 and 24 at Al Zohor club in Cairo as well.

A three-pointer and Slam Dunk contests will be held in the third stage only for those who wish to participate in a nominal subscription fee. The team plays in one of the first or second stages, and the top four teams will qualify to the third stage, according to the Egyptian Basketball Federation’s official website.

The 3X3 national team will take part in the Mediterranean Games in Spain from June 22 to July 1 this year, in addition to the participation of the youth teams for boys and girls also in the African Games for Youth in Algeria from July 19 to 28, 2018.
