CAIRO – 22 January 2018: Arda Turan, who only a few days ago was loaned by Barcelona to Medipol Basaksehir, has played his first match on Sunday with his new team, the current leader of the Turkish Super League, and has not been able to do better.
Medipol Basaksehir have won their match and Turan scored a goal.
Turan was not the starter in the match that Basaksehir played in the Bursaspor field.
He started the game on the bench, jumping, however, on the pitch, with about 25 minutes to go before the end of the Turkish Super League match.
His return to the league of his country could not have been more positive. After replacing the midfielder Mossoro, Turan only needed 21 minutes to score his first goal as a player of the surprising Medipol Basaksehir of Istanbul. That goal ruled a 3-0 game for Basaksehir.
Turan has been loaned for the remainder of the season and two extra seasons.
