CAIRO – 3 January 2018: Manchester City’s striker Gabriel Jesus will be off for two months, but City’s midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who had to abandon the field on a stretcher during the game against Crystal Palace on Sunday, might be back on the pitch soon.

De Bruyne could even be in the starting line-up in the game against Waterford on Tuesday in the Etihad stadium.

Various English newspapers, such as The Sun, report that De Bruyne has recovered from his injury by assuring that it was only a minor injury without serious consequences and that he is ready to play again.

In fact, The Sun says that it only depends on the football coach Pep Guardiola whether the Belgian player will take part in the game against Waterford.

The other good news for Guardiola is that he could also, if he wishes, line up the midfielder David Silva for the match against Watford.
