Aubameyang to replace Griezmann in winter market

CAIRO –24 December2017: Would Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang substitute Antoine Griezmann at Atletico Madrid? The possible move is not ruled out by the Borussia Dortmund striker.

Aubameyang, in a statement to the daily French newspaper Ouest-France, also denies that he has renewed a contract with the German club, as the German team's sporting director, Michael Zorc, had recently advanced.

The possibility that Griezmann ends up playing at Barcelona opens a series of options in the European market, and the Gabonese Aubameyang is waiting.

"In the winter market, a lot can happen, also for me," said Aubameyang. A few words that even went further when he warned, "Everyone knows that Atlético is looking for players who can replace Griezmann if, finally, he leaves in the coming weeks. Anything can happen," he added in the interview.

Aubameyang also denied that he had renewed his contract with Dortmund, as sporting director Michael Zorc advanced.

"I have not renewed a contract; it's not true," the attacker said. Aubameyang already had problems during the summer because of his interest in going to China, but finally ended up staying in Germany.
