CAIRO – 23 December 2017: Stoke City’s Egyptian winger, Ramadan Sobhi, secured his team’s victory over Ahmed Hegazi’s West Bromwich Albion when he scored the third goal minutes before the final whistle.
Stoke’s Welsh midfielder, Joe Allen, opened the score for his team 19 minutes from the start after a pass from Stoke striker Peter Crouch.
West Bromwich had many chances to equalize the score, but they failed and were punished by Stoke’s Cameroonian striker, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who dribbled past West Brom’s defense and their goalkeeper, Ben Foster, to make the score 2-0.
In the second half, West Bromwich scored their only goal in the game through their striker, Jose Rondon, six minutes from the second-half start.
Ramadan Sobhi came as a substitute for Xherdan Shaqiri eleven minutes before the final whistle, and he managed to score his first goal with his team in the league after a great pass from Choupo-Moting a minute before the final whistle to make the score 3-1.
Stoke City reached 19 points to place 14th in the league, while West Bromwich stayed with 14 points, only one point away from the bottom.
