CAIRO – 21 December 2017: Chelsea coach Antonio Conte has expressed his opposition to the suspension of Spanish striker Alvaro Morata from the Everton game on Saturday for the 19th round of the Premier League.

Morata received his fifth yellow card in local tournaments this season during the Bournemouth match Wednesday and will be suspended for next game against Everton.

Morata received a yellow card after celebrating against Bournemouth in the FA Cup after putting the ball under his shirt.

Commenting on Morata's suspension, Conte said, “A big loss for us, but it happened. It's okay. I must be honest – in that moment, we were enjoying the goal and I didn't see the situation.”

“But I knew that he tried to celebrate a goal with the ball under the shirt. I repeat, it's a pity. It's a pity. But we have to accept it. We have to accept the decision and try, at the same time in the future, to pay great attention,” he added.
